The following three landlords have student apartments and their separate queueing systems:

Gavlegårdarna is our municipal housing company.  Approximately one third of our inhabitants lives in Gavlegårdarnas apartments. All available apartments are presented on their website. As a student, you can choose to apply for a dorm rooms with private toilet and shared kitchen, apartments where you have your own room but share kitchen and bathroom with other students, or your own apartment.

Most homes are within walking / biking distance to the city centre and the university. There is a developed bus network. Buses regularly run between the various regions/districts.

To apply for student housing at Gavlegårdarna you have to study at least 15 credits per semester at the University of Gävle. Also, you have to email your letter of admission to info@gavlegardarna.se before the response time of your desired accommodation has expired.
